Los Angeles County Probation (LACP) is hiring dedicated individuals to serve as sworn Peace Officers who play a critical role in transforming lives and strengthening communities. As a Deputy Probation Officer I, you will: Support and guide youth in juvenile halls and residential treatment facilities. Build trust and inspire change through consistent casework and mentorship. Identify life skills needs and help youth reach their full potential. Apply evidence-based practices to support rehabilitation and growth of youth. Help maintain safety, order, and dignity through professional conduct and, when necessary, physical intervention. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. At least 21 years of age at the time of appointment. No felony convictions. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law. Possess a valid California Class C Driver License at the time of appointment.
