Duties Help The Administrive Office of the U.S. Courts seeks a skilled and self-motived Supervisory Probion Administror to join its team to serve as the Program Oversight Branch Chief. The Supervisory Probion Administror (Program Oversight Branch Chief) position is loced within the Department of Program Services, Probion and Pretrial Services Office (PPSO), Program Oversight and Support Division (POSD). This position reports to the POSD Chief. As a member of the PPSO leadership team, the Program Oversight Branch Chief is responsible for leadership and oversight of staff working in the Program Oversight Branch. The incumbent of this position will have key influence in developing a future vision for stutorily required nional oversight functions and strengthening systemwide oversight and quality assurance protocols to include measuring adherence with evidence-based practices and nional policies and procedures. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing leadership, vision, and informion to branch staff, senior managers in the AO and the courts to enhance the probion and pretrial services system's mission and goals, and improve the Judicial Conference Criminal Law Committee's directive to become an outcome-based system. Establishing and managing both short-and long-term goals for the branch and integring work within broader office priorities and stregic planning, to include coordinion with staff in other areas. Directing, planning and organizing the branch's daily operions, setting priorities, and measuring effectiveness. Managing and resolving operional problems, providing technical and administrive guidance, as well as coaching, mentoring and professional development for PPSO personnel. Performing all facets of staff supervision, including assigning and reviewing the work of subordines and completing a full range of personnel actions, such as training, performance appraisals, and providing recommendions for within-band increases, promotions, awards, and adverse actions; maintaining oversight of time and tendance and performing other administrive functions. Providing administrive oversight, conducting research, analyzing da, monitoring trends, and providing recommendions for improvement of nional oversight activities based on evidence-informed practices, implemention science, and root cause analysis. Providing oversight of PPSO's response to inquiries and correspondence from Congress, the Department of Justice, and the public. Tracking and evaluing branch level program da, including trends on deficiencies and recommendions, systemwide strengths, referrals for and delivery of technical assistance and training, and the timeliness and comprehensiveness of action plans and stus reports submitted by districts. Communicing effectively, both orally and in writing, including drafting memos, emails, and presentions to provide regular updes on branch activities or initiives and demonstring the ability to communice and collabore with Court Unit Executives in a manner th fosters a successful learning environment. Conducting research, analyzing da, and collaboring with internal and external stakeholders to problem-solve and establish solutions, monitor trends, and provide recommendions for improvement of nional programs based on evidence-informed practices, implemention science, and root cause analysis. Using technology and software applicions to support operional efficiency, organizional workflows, and communicion. Identifying advances in community corrections and faciliting their testing for considerion for use in the federal probion and pretrial services system. Coordining with the courts, advisory groups, and working groups to develop guidance consistent with stutory requirements and evidence-based practices th lead to improved outcomes in presentence investigions, pretrial services, and post-conviction supervision. Providing staff work for the Judicial Conference Committee on Criminal Law and serving as the court contact for probion and pretrial services. Specialized Experience :
Applicants must have least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly reled to the line of work of this position.

Specialized experience is demonstred experience in each of the following: Conducting research, analyzing da, monitoring trends, and providing recommendions for improvement of probion and pretrial services oversight activities based on evidence-informed practices and implemention science. Overseeing local or nional oversight activities (cyclical reviews, self-assessments, or sentinel event reviews) to evalue individual cases for compliance with nional policies and procedures. Providing leadership and administrive oversight of staff. Educion The basic qualificions can be met in one of three ways: Degree in behavioral or social science, or reled disciplines approprie to the position. Combinion of educion and experience th provides the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
