As a Probation Parole Officer 1 you will be a direct service provider, engaging in high-contact interactions with clients. You will play an essential role in eliciting and supporting pro-social behaviors, with a focus on programming that fosters personal growth and reduces the risk of reoffending. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks from supervision of person's court ordered to probation, pretrial release or released to parole into the community and documenting information with respect to caseload management into our electronic database (ICON) according to performance standards. You will be on a rotating schedule that will begin at 5:00am daily and ending time will be flexible and dependent on workload. The rotating schedule will include weekends and holidays. Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree in any field. A total of two years of education and/or full-time experience in a human services or criminal justice field, where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience. Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes 18 months of full-time work as a Residential Officer.
