Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Probation Officer and become a vital advocate for community safety and offender rehabilitation. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of offenders' risks, needs, and strengths to inform case planning Develop individualized supervision plans that include behavioral goals, treatment referrals, and community resources Monitor compliance with probation conditions through regular meetings, home visits, and field contacts Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral change and engagement Respond promptly to violations or emergencies by implementing crisis management protocols and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary Document case progress, write detailed reports, and maintain accurate records in accordance with agency standards Interview offenders, victims, and collateral contacts to gather relevant information for case evaluation and decision-making Experience Proven experience in social work, law enforcement, or criminal justice settings demonstrating strong interpersonal skills Familiarity with case management practices and report writing procedures Skilled in conducting interviews with diverse populations while maintaining professionalism and empathy Knowledge of crisis management strategies to handle high-stress situations effectively Experience applying motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavioral change in clients is highly desirable Prior exposure to working with offenders or at-risk populations enhances suitability for this role Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication can transform lives and strengthen communities. $42,311.00 - $58,473.00 per year
