Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Juvenile Probation Officer/Juvenile Justice Worker and become a vital part of transforming young lives through proactive intervention and support. In this role, you will work closely with youth involved in the juvenile justice system, providing guidance, supervision, and resources to promote positive behavioral change. Duties Conduct thorough interviews with juvenile offenders, families, and community members to assess needs and develop tailored intervention plans Monitor youth compliance with court orders and probation conditions through regular home visits, school visits, and community engagement Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavioral change and strengthen youth motivation for positive choices Respond swiftly to crises or behavioral incidents, employing crisis management skills to de-escalate situations effectively Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, social service providers, schools, and community organizations to coordinate support services Prepare detailed reports documenting case progress, incident reports, and court documentation with clarity and accuracy Implement evidence-based practices such as social work principles to guide case management strategies that promote rehabilitation Education Bachelor's Degree - Criminal Justice, Social Work, or related field. Experience Prior experience in law enforcement, social work, counseling, or related fields is highly desirable Demonstrated ability in interviewing youth and families with sensitivity and professionalism Proven skills in crisis management and conflict resolution within high-pressure environments Knowledge of juvenile justice laws, regulations, and procedures is a plus but not mandatory Strong report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity in documentation Experience applying motivational interviewing techniques to foster behavioral change in youth is preferred Embark on a rewarding career path where your active engagement can truly change lives.
