All programs are offered at no cost, emphasizing empowerment, advocacy, and community education to foster safety and healing. •Must submit a Cover Letter when applying• Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Counseling Supervisor to lead our clinical team in delivering high-quality trauma informed counseling to survivors. In this vital role, you will oversee counseling operations, supervise staff, and promote best practices in therapeutic interventions. Your leadership will empower staff to deliver impactful individual and group counseling while maintaining a supportive environment for clients facing diverse challenges.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in related field required 2-3 years of counseling experience required Some direct supervisory experience preferred Demonstrated ability to provide and manage support services for victims of crime Foundational knowledge of the effects of trauma Exhibits compassion and understanding of the impacts of interpersonal violence on individual and families Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, attending, and reflecting Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated leadership skills and high level of dependability Demonstrates cultural humility, an understanding of systems of oppression, and a commitment to personal growth in skills and attitudes that promote equality and inclusion Demonstrated ability to create and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers, key stakeholders, and outside entities Previous completion of the Sexual Assault Counselor training preferred Must be able to provide the FBI Criminal Clearance, the PA State Police Criminal Clearance, and Child Abuse History Clearance Valid driver's license required
Core Responsibilities:
Provides supervision for the Counseling department and makes assignments accordingly Completes yearly evaluations for Counseling staff In conjunction with the Associate Director, conducts staffing decisions for the Counseling department Ensures that all case files are maintained and updated Works with Associate and Executive Directors to resolve all client complaints according to CVC policy Provides regular, consistent individual and departmental supervision to the Counseling staff Ensure that adequate amounts of support groups and individual counseling sessions are provided by department staff Develops tools for evaluating client satisfaction Stays abreast of all ETO data collection updates and changes Provides hotline coverage whenever other staff or volunteers are not available Contributes with intention to a positive and supportive agency culture based on care, trust, and our shared values Assists and participates in agency events and activities Provides on-going services to victims of violence, such as crisis intervention, supportive counseling, accompaniment, information and referral and advocacy Positively represents CVC in the community on coalitions and task forces Other duties as assigned •Must submit a Cover Letter when applying•
