Jun 22, 2026, 11:59:00 PM I. Job Summary Performs advanced parole administration and supervision work. Work involves reviewing and approving parole supervision activities, parole investigations, and parole release plans and reports; coordinating case assignments; conducting case analyses; and supervising the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. II. Essential Functions A. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the Super Intensive Supervision Program (SISP); participates in the development of program goals and objectives; and participates in the development of new resources and services. B. Studies and analyzes operations and problems and prepares reports of findings and recommendations; confers with staff on program issues and problems to identify and implement solutions; conducts special investigations, program analyses, and research studies; and monitors and ensures compliance with program policies and procedures and state and federal laws. C. Prepares program budget requests; and reviews, analyzes, and maintains complex statistical program information and prepares related reports. D. Directs parole officers in developing new sources of information and in improving casework technique; coordinates and conducts parole investigations of highly confidential matters; and directs actions to be taken on specific cases. E. Prepares and conducts training workshops and information programs; and provides liaison with agency staff, other agencies and organizations, and the public. F. Performs criminal information searches and retrieval using Texas Department of Public Safety criminal history system access. G. Supervises the work of others; and provides technical guidance and assistance in the program area. Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed. III. Minimum Qualifications A. Education, Experience, and Training 1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Major course work in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or a related field preferred. Each year of experience as described below in excess of the required four years may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis with a maximum substitution of two years. 2. Four years full-time, wage-earning criminal justice, case management, case processing, or military experience. 3. Experience in the supervision of employees preferred. 4. Experience in the development, administration, or monitoring of offender monitoring programs preferred. 5. Parole officer experience preferred. 6. Technical review or program evaluation experience preferred. 7. Must have a valid driver license. 8. Must have or be able to obtain a Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) certification within twelve months from the date of employment. Must maintain valid license(s) and Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) certification for continued employment in position. Selected applicants without required license(s) must sign a Credential Contingency Agreement that will remain in effect only until the initially established expiration date. Failure to comply with this contingency statement will result in separation from employment. Credential Contingency Agreements will not be extended or renewed as a result of an employee's separation from employment or acceptance of another position. Must have or be able to obtain a certificate of course completion for the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) policy and procedures training from the Texas Department of Public Safety within six months of employment date. Must meet and maintain TLETS access eligibility for continued employment in position.

Skill to review statistical data and prepare statistical reports. 14. Skill to develop and conduct training and in-service programs. 15. Skill to establish program goals and objectives. 16. Skill to develop and evaluate administrative policies and procedures. 17. Skill to supervise the work of others. IV. Additional Requirements with or without Reasonable Accommodation A. Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry under 15 lbs., perceive depth, operate a motor vehicle, and operate motor equipment. B. Conditions include working inside, working around machines with moving parts and moving objects, radiant and electrical energy, working closely with others, working alone, working protracted or irregular hours, and traveling by car, van, bus, and airplane. C. Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing only the essential functions include computer and related equipment, calculator, copier, fax machine, telephone, dolly, and automobile.
