Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Global Regulatory Team Lead will be the primary point of contact in managing the global regulatory strategy for a specific portfolio of products globally. This role will include strategic oversight of both currently registered products and products at various stages in the development to pre-commercialization processes. This position requires close collaboration with global and regional regulatory, scientific teams as well as commercial and business development to ensure regulatory compliance and strategic guidance for product registrations are achieved worldwide.

Global Regulatory Director Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management:
The role will involve either a direct or indirect line in managing a team of Regulatory Managers assigned to individual active ingredients within the assigned portfolio. As the primary contact, this role could include overseeing their regulatory activities, mentoring, and handling personnel matters such as performance and development. The lead may also directly manage an active ingredient or key project directly.
Collaboration and Communication:
The role requires strong partnership with Global Portfolio Asset Managers, regional/country registration teams, and other cross-functional groups such as Business Development, Legal, and Supply Chain; this will include participation in defined global and regional meetings to contribute strategic regulatory guidance. It is also critical that the broader team of Global regulatory team leads collaborate as a highly functional leadership team and lean on each other to brainstorm and mentor each other from previous professional experiences. This broader team will also rely on each other to share information that may impact on another asset portfolio. A clearly defined set of meetings with objectives will be finalized by the broader team.
Budget:
Accountable for managing the regulatory project budget for the assigned global portfolio. Communication on changes in budget requirements is critical to ensure effective budget management and forecasting.
Training/ Company Representation:
As the key point of contact for the assigned portfolio, this role will drive, with support of Regulatory Managers, Discipline Scientists and regional regulatory teams the projects forward and ensure that there is constant communication with key commercial teams. This communication with commercial teams may differ by region but will be agreed upon with each Regional Commercial lead. This role will also lead internal and cross-functional training as needed and represent Gowan with regulatory authorities and in industry meetings.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in science or a related field. Masters or Doctorate in a science or regulatory discipline preferred. Extensive experience (at least 10 years) in regulatory affairs with a strong focus on global regulatory strategy and multi-year planning in the biological pesticide area to include Biopesticides, Bio stimulants and protein technologies.
