Monday-Friday | 50 Hours Per Week Saturdays as Needed Why This Opportunity? Join a concrete contractor supporting a commercial construction project. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety activities involving concrete placement, formwork, reinforcing steel installation, material handling, excavation support activities, and daily construction operations while partnering closely with project leadership and field personnel. What You'll Be Doing Oversee daily safety activities for concrete construction operations Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Monitor concrete placement, formwork, reinforcing steel, and material handling activities Support and enforce fall protection programs and site-specific safety requirements Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards Promote a positive safety culture across the project Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification 5+ years of construction safety experience Concrete construction experience required Preferred Qualifications Commercial construction experience Experience supporting large concrete placement operations Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards Concrete Construction Safety FormworkShoring Operations Reinforcing Steel Installation Activities Fall ProtectionElevated Work Activities Material Handling Operations ExcavationTrenching Awareness Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development Incident InvestigationRoot Cause Analysis Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk AssessmentMitigation Commercial Construction Safety Best Practices What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a field-focused safety professional who can build relationships with craft personnel, maintain compliance, identify risks before incidents occur, and support project teams in safely executing work while maintaining production goals.
