Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to champion our commitment to workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. In this vital role, you will lead efforts to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise will ensure that our manufacturing operations adhere to all applicable laws and standards, creating a safe and healthy environment for all team members. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices across the organization while promoting sustainable environmental initiatives. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee EHS policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to prevent future occurrences. Coordinate safety training & development programs for employees at all levels, including CPR, first aid, OSHA standards, and specific manufacturing safety protocols. Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with workers' compensation law; ensure proper documentation and compliance. Monitor environmental impact metrics; ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to waste management, emissions, and sustainability initiatives. Foster a culture of occupational health awareness by promoting best practices in ergonomics, hazard communication, and emergency preparedness. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health principles. Certifications in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety standards, and environmental management are highly desirable. Knowledge of workers' compensation law processes and report writing skills for incident documentation. Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to resolve safety issues. Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct training sessions and develop comprehensive safety reports. Ability to lead training & development initiatives that enhance team members' safety awareness and compliance knowledge. Familiarity with EPA regulations related to environmental health practices within manufacturing or industrial settings.
