Job Title:
Safety Manager Job Description The Safety Manager is responsible for managing safety coordinators across various installation sites, ranging from small to large. This role involves coordinating daily activities with the operations team and the CFA Safety Manager. The Safety Manager will oversee the implementation of safety programs, analyze and administer components of the environmental, health, and safety programs during installations, and provide necessary reports to site and safety leadership. Responsibilities Ensure the CFA safety program is followed on assigned sites and drive efforts to address site-specific needs and corrective actions. Increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the company and respond to employees' safety concerns. Collaborate with contractors to evaluate overall safety and work with upper management to drive improvements. Lead Safety Coordinators and contractor safety personnel, set goals, monitor performance, and provide necessary training and coaching. Identify and mitigate hazards at assigned job sites, and continuously monitor risks. Ensure timely investigation, reporting, and preventive actions for incidents involving personnel, contractors, and visitors. Conduct safety meetings, updates, and other safety-related sessions. Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating installation site safety plans and ensure compliance with customer and internal expectations. Audit contractors' safety programs and work towards alignment with internal and customer programs. Ensure all required site-specific safety training is completed by personnel, including first aid, CPR, and accident prevention. Arrange for necessary health and safety testing and evaluations by external agencies. Liaise with customers on emergency procedures, communications, and safety education programs. Develop, implement, and monitor MMUSA health and safety policies and programs. Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks. personnel are present. Adapt customer-specific safety programs to meet expectations and incorporate them into the internal program. Essential Skills 5+ years of Safety Experience in construction or manufacturing environments. 3+ years of management/leadership experience with Safety teams of 3 or more people. 2+ years of conducting Safety training for internal Safety Teams. 2+ years of creating KPI data and addressing areas of underperformance. 2+ years of creating and editing safety SOPs and documents. Bachelor's degree in safety management, Technical Discipline, or equivalent education is preferred. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in safety, preferably in a cleanroom environment. Previous experience in construction safety management is highly preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS). Understanding of Electro/mechanical Equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, adaptable to change, and flexible regarding work schedule. Ability to handle stressful situations professionally. Strong operational leadership and customer/contractor management skills. Work Environment The Safety Manager will work onsite at a semiconductor cleanroom environment, engaging in both construction and cleanroom settings. The position operates Monday to Friday with day shifts. Training during the first week will be from 8 AM to 5 PM; post-training, work can begin as early as 5:30 AM with 10-hour shifts. The work environment requires casual attire with provided PPE, including long pants, long sleeve shirts, hard hats, and safety glasses. The employee will frequently work near moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is typically moderate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
