Job Title:
Safety Manager Job Description Manage safety coordinators across various installation sites, ensuring the effective coordination of day-to-day activities in collaboration with the operations team and the Safety Manager. Oversee the implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs during installations, providing necessary reports to site and safety leadership. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with safety programs at assigned sites, addressing site-specific needs and corrective actions. Increase health and safety awareness at all company levels and respond to employees' safety concerns. Collaborate with contractors to enhance safety standards and drive positive changes. Lead and manage Safety Coordinators and contractor safety personnel, setting goals and providing training, coaching, and counseling. Identify and mitigate hazards at job sites, ensuring timely investigation and reporting of accidents/incidents. Conduct safety meetings and assist in the development and upkeep of installation site safety plans. Audit contractor safety programs and align them with internal and customer expectations. Ensure completion of site-specific safety training for personnel, including first aid and CPR. Arrange health and safety testing and liaise with customers regarding emergency procedures. Essential Skills 5+ years of safety experience in construction or manufacturing environments. 3+ years of management/leadership experience with Safety teams. 2+ years of experience conducting safety training. 2+ years of experience creating and analyzing KPI data. Bachelor's degree in safety management, Technical Discipline, or equivalent education. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) and electro/mechanical equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and adaptable with strong operational leadership and management skills. Experience in creating and editing SOPs and safety procedures. Work Environment The work environment includes semiconductor clean room and construction environments, with operations primarily on-site. Employees work Monday through Friday day shifts, with the possibility of starting as early as 5:30 AM for 10-hour shifts. Training occurs the first week, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The dress code is casual with provided PPE, including long pants, long sleeve shirts, hard hats, and safety glasses. The noise level can be moderate, and reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
