Safety Technician

In this role, you will proactively identify potential hazards, support risk management initiatives, and uphold occupational health standards across the site. Your expertise will help foster a culture of safety excellence, ensuring all operations adhere to MSHA and other relevant safety regulations. Duties Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on mining sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with MSHA and local safety standards. Assist in developing and implementing safety protocols, risk management strategies, and occupational health programs tailored to mining activities. Support incident investigations by gathering evidence, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions related to workers' compensation claims and safety violations. Collaborate with project manager to facilitate compliance efforts and promote a culture of safety awareness among workers. preferred MSHA Bluecard preferred Proven experience working in mining environments with a strong understanding of mining site safety practices. Knowledge of MSHA regulations Familiarity with risk management techniques and occupational health best practices Strong communication skills to effectively train teams, report findings, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to perform detailed site inspections, hazard assessments, and emergency response procedures confidently. Site operates 24/7/365 - must be available to work any day of the week.
