Truesdell Corporation is currently seeking a Safety Manager to join our national team based out of Tempe, AZ supporting bridge maintenance projects throughout Arizona and across the United States. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys travel, and is passionate about developing teams and driving a strong culture of safety excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong communication skills, extensive construction safety knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects and safety initiatives simultaneously. This individual will play a key role in leading and continuously improving Truesdell Corporation's safety programs nationwide. Who is Truesdell? We celebrate success, invest in professional development, and provide opportunities for long-term career advancement Safety Manager Responsibilities Lead and oversee Truesdell Corporation's safety programs and initiatives across multiple projects nationwide Ensure companywide compliance with OSHA regulations and all local, state, and federal safety requirements Conduct regular jobsites visits, inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to company safety standards Develop, implement, and continuously improve company safety policies, procedures, and training programs Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to Safety Coordinators, field personnel, and project management teams Facilitate new hire safety orientation and ongoing training for employees at all levels Conduct safety meetings and presentations to promote awareness and reinforce safe work practices Draft and distribute weekly Tailgate Talks and safety communications Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, and claims while ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions are implemented Communicate safety performance, trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to executive leadership Manage work-related injury and illness cases, coordinate medical treatment, and oversee return-to-work processes Partner with project teams, clients, owner representatives, clinics, and testing facilities to maintain strong working relationships Promote safety and health awareness through regular field interaction and coaching Assist with development of digital learning, classroom training, skill qualification programs, and other educational initiatives Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, certifications, and compliance files Work collaboratively with Operations and DOT leadership to strengthen companywide safety culture and performance Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to travel nationally up to 80% of the year
OSHA 500 REQUIRED, OSHA 510 PREFERRED. CSP
Certification preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of related safety management experience required Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and Workers' Compensation practices Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Experience leading safety programs within construction, bridge maintenance, transportation, or industrial environments Strong customer interaction and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Travel & Work Environment National travel required up to 80% annually Company-provided hotel accommodations, transportation, and daily meal stipend during travel Work setting includes both office and active construction jobsites Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually , depending on experience and education Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability Insurance Accident, Injury, and Cancer Insurance options 15 days Paid Time Off, increasing with tenure 401(k) with generous employer match Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Health Savings Account (HSA) Professional Development Assistance Vehicle and phone options when applicable Truesdell Culture At Truesdell Corporation, we believe our employees are our greatest asset.
