Interim System Director of Safety and RegulatoryJOB DETAILS
Interim Director of Safety and Regulatory Needed in Tucson, AZ! The Position An Interim Director of Safety and Regulatory is needed to lead the day-to-day operations of the quality department and advance system-wide quality, patient safety, and regulatory initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer, this leader will oversee three direct reports. Key responsibilities include providing oversight of patient safety and regulatory compliance programs, leading performance improvement initiatives, collaborating across departments and committees, serving as a liaison with medical staff, and supporting ongoing construction and operational changes that impact quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading quality and patient safety programs within a complex health system and a strong ability to build and develop growing teams. Experience partnering with executive leadership and navigating regulatory standards is essential. The candidate must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements Master's degree required. Relevant quality or patient safety certification preferred; open to clinical or non-clinical backgrounds. Must possess progressive leadership experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, and patient safety within an acute care or health system setting.Pay Details Pay Range:
$170,000 - $180,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits. The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
