Position Summary Under the strategic leadership of the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, the Director of Quality and Performance Improvement leads hospital-wide initiatives that ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care. This leader drives clinical quality, peer review, and performance improvement programs while partnering with physicians, nursing, and administrative teams to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. [ As a successful candidate, you will: Lead the hospital's clinical quality program, ensuring alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards Monitor and improve key hospital quality indicators such as mortality, readmissions, and patient safety outcomes Partner with physician and nursing leadership to implement evidence-based care practices Oversee quality data collection, validation, and reporting to regulatory agencies Direct medical staff peer review processes and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards Lead performance improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and PDSA cycles Facilitate interdisciplinary teams to address patient safety events and drive measurable improvements Develop and present quality dashboards, scorecards, and insights to executive leadership Collaborate with risk and patient safety teams to support a culture of transparency and safety Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and drive organization-wide quality initiatives Your qualifications should include: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field (RN required) 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospital quality, performance improvement, or clinical operations Expertise in peer review, OPPE/FPPE, and hospital regulatory compliance Strong knowledge of quality metrics, data analytics, and performance improvement methodologies Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks Advanced analytical, communication, and leadership skills Proven ability to influence physicians and senior stakeholders Master's degree (MHA, MPH, MSN, MBA, or related) preferred Certifications such as CPHQ or Lean Six Sigma preferred
