Job Description
- Position Summary
- The Safety Coordinator/Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing health and safety operations on utility-scale solar EPC projects.
- Key Responsibilities
- Safety Oversight & Field Support
- + Provide daily safety oversight for utility-scale solar construction activities, including coordination with EPC construction teams and onsite leadership.
- Daily Planning & Coordination
- + Collaborate with the Safety Manager and Foremen each morning to review daily work plans and identify risk exposures. + Review scheduled tasks with field teams to anticipate and mitigate jobsite hazards. + Support pre-task planning and execution of
- Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- for all scopes of work.
- Inspections, Audits & Compliance
- + Perform routine safety audits, site inspections, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to OSHA and company standards. + Maintain documentation of inspections, corrective actions, and safety performance metrics. + Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements (local, state, and federal).
- Incident Management
- + Manage and track all injury-related administrative processes, including reporting, documentation, and follow-up actions. + Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative action plans.
- Electrical Safety Oversight
- + Ensure safe execution of electrical work involving
- low and medium voltage systems
- across the project. + Monitor compliance with electrical safety standards and best practices during installation and commissioning activities.
- Required Qualifications
- + Minimum
- 3 years of construction safety experience
- , preferably on solar or utility-scale projects. +
- OSHA 30 Certification

preferred- . + Working knowledge of
- low and medium voltage electrical systems
- . + Experience with
- JHAs, safety audits, and inspections
- . + Current
- First Aid and CPR certification
- . + Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. + Ability to communicate effectively with field teams, supervisors, and management.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Previous experience supporting or managing safety on
- utility-scale solar or EPC projects
- . + OSHA 500 certification (or advanced safety training). + Prior experience working directly with field crews, foremen, and electrical installers. + Experience managing safety for multi-crew, high-volume construction environments.
- Job Type & Location
- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
