Corporate Security and Safety Operations, Senior Blue Shield of CA United States, California, Long Beach 3840 Kilroy Airport Way (Show on map) Jun 23, 2026 Your Role Blue Shield of California is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Program Manager to restore, maintain, and evolve our EH&S program. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and environmental stewardship across our corporate locations. The successful candidate will lead efforts to bring the EH&S program back into full compliance, establish sustainable workflows, and collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources and other departments. Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
Requires a minimum of 5 years of EH&S experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-site environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA regulations, and industry best practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Experience with EH&S documentation systems and audit preparation Hybrid This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week. Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
