Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Provides direct supervision for Public Safety Dispatchers. Prepares annual and probationary performance appraisals for dispatch personnel. Reviews and documents performance issues on monthly

forms and incident reports. Prepares memorandums, correspondence, briefing items, civilians' complaints, and other written staff work related to personnel and/or the operations of the center, including reports on occupational injuries (CHP121s)and necessary hiring paperwork and interviews. Responsible for the training of dispatch personnel. Develops training materials and programs for organizational orientation and technical training. Ensures quality and uniformity of training. Maintains trainee progress records, performance records and training materials. Determines training needs and provides for continued training, assistance and periodic performance evaluations after conclusion of the formal training period. Performs peripheral duties related to the operations of the center as assigned: Coordinate with field and allied agency commands, telephone and radio equipment reports, organize files, Custodian of Records requests, CAD updates, requisitions, equipment maintenance/repairs, etc. Coordinates and prepares monthly and daily work schedules for Public Safety Dispatchers, including preplanned or unscheduled overtime. Ensures master schedule changes are documented. Reviews all attendance records for the shift and approves/disapproves overtime claims. Reviews and initials all absence requests. You will find additional information about the job in the . Working Conditions Ukiah Communications Center is staffed with two Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I positions. Shift assignments and vacations are determined by in-class seniority. The 12 hour alternate work week is employed and this position may be required to work overtime.
