This is an excepted service position th requires membership in the California Nional Guard. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Must have least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to least the GS-11 level, involving the applicion of industrial construction standards, methods, practices, techniques, merials, equipment, and utility systems sufficient to determine compliance with building safety standards and devise hazard control measures applicable to airport ground facilities and supporting industrial shops; Knowledge of psychological and physiological factors sufficient to develop a ground aviion safety educion activity for supervisors and employees, to motive maintenance personnel to apply safe working practices and to persuade supervisors to accept changes or modificions where required to achieve a safe working environment; Performing safety and occupional health principles, practices, procedures and standards applicable to a full range of complex safety and occupional health management responsibilities a military aviion installion and requiring the planning, organizing, directing, opering and evaluion of a safety and occupional health program reled to ground aviion, industrial and marine operions; Performing aviion maintenance work processes and support equipment, airport ground operions, facilities and runway maintenance techniques, and industrial work processes.
