Full Job Description Position Overview:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs across multiple client facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures full compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations while fostering a strong, proactive culture of safety throughout the organization. The Regional Safety works closely with site leadership, employees, regulatory agencies, branch teams, and the Risk Department to reduce workplace incidents, improve safety performance, and support continuous improvement of all safety initiatives across client placements.Role and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
1.Safety Program Development and Implementation:
o Works as a team to develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with OSHA and other relevant regulations. o Customize safety programs to meet the specific needs of various departments within the organization. 2.Training and Education:
o Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing training, and specialized safety training as needed. o Conduct Train the Trainer Program for Forklift Evaluations. o Ensure employees understand and adhere to safety protocols and procedures. o Deliver ongoing education on workplace hazards, PPE usage, emergency procedures, and incident prevention. 3.Compliance, Report and Audits:
o Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. o Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. o Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and compliance activities. o Conduct risk evaluations as needed for internal and external locations. 4.Incident Investigation and Reporting:
o Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses. o Prepare detailed reports on incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. o Track and monitor implementation of corrective actions to ensure effectiveness. o Address any OSHA inquiries and reporting 5.Risk Management:
o Identify potential safety hazards and assess risks within the workplace. o Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. The Workforce Companies Revised 11/26/2025 o Develop actions plans to reduce the TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) and IFR (Incident Frequency Rate) metrics. o Assist in the tracking & maintenance of theOSHA 300
Logs. o Collaborate with department heads & employees to ensure ongoing risk assessment and improvement. 6.Emergency Preparedness:
o Develop and implement emergency response plans for the organization. o Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for emergencies. o Coordinate with local emergency services and regulatory agencies as needed. 7.Safety Culture Promotion:
o Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability among employees. o Recognize and reward safe behaviors and contributions to safety improvements. o Lead safety committees and encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives. o Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization. 8.Communication and Collaboration:
o Serves as the point of contact for all safety-related matters companywide for internal staff and clients. o Communicate safety performance metrics and improvement plans to the Risk Director o Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety into daily operations and decisionmaking processes.Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management or a related role. ? Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. ? Certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, or CSP preferred but not required. ? OSHA 10 or 30 In General Industry ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ? Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and client partners ?
