In this vital role, you will lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster a culture of proactive risk management. Your dedication will help safeguard workers, the environment, and project assets while supporting successful project delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices on high-stakes construction sites and promote a strong safety-first mindset throughout the organization. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive demolition safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements. Conduct thorough risk assessments for demolition sites, identifying potential hazards and establishing mitigation strategies to prevent accidents. Lead safety training sessions for construction teams, subcontractors, and site visitors to ensure understanding of safety protocols and compliance management procedures. Monitor construction site activities continuously to enforce safety policies, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) standards. Manage incident investigations related to safety incidents or near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning, scheduling, and execution phases. Maintain detailed records using construction management software to track safety metrics, compliance status, and training documentation. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a focus on demolition projects or related heavy construction environments. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers' compensation procedures, and compliance management practices. Demonstrated expertise in risk management principles applied within high-risk construction settings. Familiarity with occupational health practices and EHS protocols specific to demolition activities. Proficiency in construction management software tools used for safety tracking and documentation. Excellent communication skills to effectively train teams, report incidents, and coordinate with stakeholders. Valid certifications in OSHA safety standards; additional certifications in construction management or specialized demolition safety are a plus.
