  • Full-time Fabric8Labs, headquartered in sunny San Diego, CA, is revolutionizing metal additive manufacturing with advanced 3D printing technologies.
We're looking for a skilled Health & Safety Manager to join our team. Fabric8Labs is focused on accelerating metal additive manufacturing adoption and enabling new applications with our patented Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM) processes. Since closing our Series B funding round, we are rapidly expanding our team to advance and commercialize our disruptive technology. We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager to champion a culture of safety, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees while driving compliance with all up to date standards. This individual will also be responsible for updating work instructions, training materials, and mentoring all staff. This position will report directly to the Director of Quality. Primary Responsibilities Develop & Implement Policies:
Create, update, and enforce comprehensive occupational health and safety plans and procedures.
Risk Management:
Conduct regular on-site audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to detect hazardous conditions.
Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with OSHA and state/local regulations, serving as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
Training:
Design and deliver training programs on safety protocols, injury prevention, and emergency response to staff.
Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and violations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Data Analysis:
Maintain safety records and analyze injury/incident data to report trends to senior management.
Culture Building:
Foster a proactive "safety first" mentality across the organization. Collaborate with other staff to achieve business objectives
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
>5 years of experience in health and safety management in a manufacturing environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
Certifications:
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ASP (Associate Safety Professional) designation strongly preferred.
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of OSHA (29 CFR 1910/1926) guidelines.
Skills:
Strong communication skills to train staff, and excellent attention to detail.
Tech:
Experience with EHS management software and data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI). Ability to work in an agile lab scale environment Ability to multi-task, adjust priorities, create project plans, and manage competing deadlines Strong leadership, structured problem solving, and communication skills Why Work at Fabric8Labs?
