Safety and Quality Manager

job summary: Project Safety and Quality Manager for a global leader in mobility products and services based in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible to oversee the mechanic/maintenance crew performing the installation of new elevators at multiple sites. Must have five (5) years of experience working as a safety professional (Ideally within elevator/construction industry, general contractor or subcontractor). This is a direct hire opportunity. location: San Diego, California job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 - 120,000 per year work hours: 7am to 3pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Oversee the safety/quality program at a new installation projectSafety observation of mechanics completing installation workResponsible for administering and implementing safety practices and principles to eliminate injuries, improve safety performance, and to ensure compliance and understanding of safety policies. Implement and administer Safety Program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan onsite while work is being performed.

Serves as a technical leader in the realm of workplace safety, in support of leadership and all employees. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company, federal/state, and local safety standards. Coordinate accident prevention initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Must have five (5) years of experience working as a safety professional (Ideally within elevator/construction industry, general contractor or subcontractor)Experience preparing and enforcing Quality Management System programsOSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalentExperience preparing and enforcing safety program

Preferred:

Certified Safety Professional (CSP)Bachelor's degree within an EHS discipline qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 3 years of experience
