Job Description:
A global life sciences organization is looking for a Sr. Regional EHS Manager to provide strategic and operational EHS leadership across multiple California sites. •This position does not offer relocation and requires candidates be based locally• Based in the San Jose CA area, this is a visible, high?impact role responsible for driving regulatory excellence, environmental stewardship, and a strong enterprise?wide safety culture within a complex, regulated environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to site and functional leadership, balancing hands?on execution with strategic influence.
Scope of responsibility includes:
Regional ownership of California EHS programs, including Cal/OSHA, OSHA, and EPA compliance Oversight of hazardous materials, waste, and environmental permitting programs (DTSC, CUPA, RCRA) Leadership of audits, incident investigations, and corrective action programs Coaching and mentoring leaders to elevate EHS performance and culture Ideal profile: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience Deep expertise in California regulatory requirements CSP, CIH, or equivalent professional certification preferred Experience supporting large, multi?site or GMP?regulated operations
