Under direction of the Maintenance/Safety/LP Managers, supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Supervise the day-to-day activities of the maintenance employees. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems and identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of all work areas. Ensure products are placed in the proper receptacles. Ensure dock areas, outside dock areas, aisles, break areas, bathrooms and shipping offices are organized, clean, free of debris, and in good working condition. Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfer equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary. Make periodic inspections of assigned facilities to determine condition; diagnose problems and initiate necessary actions. Plan and schedule routine maintenance. Establish work priorities. Maintain equipment and materials; perform complex repair and maintenance tasks. Supervise staff of skilled and semi-skilled workers in maintenance such as, painting, carpentry, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, electrical and related systems. Inspect work for completeness. Facilitate and coordinate with ongoing employee training including new hire orientation, completion of new hire safety paperwork, facility tours; Provide Powered Material Handling Operators with proper training and certification; Provide Proper SSOP training and certification where required; Liaise with employees, managers, HR team to ensure training program is current and compliant to applicable legislation; Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites work flow. Trains employees to spot theft and stop theft Issues written and oral instructions to subordinates. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness prior to deadlines Take the lead on New Hire Safety-related training Provide refresher and/or annual training to existing employees as required.
Initials:
Must remain current on HACCP, OSHA, GMP, SSOP, and other related regulations and constantly strive to improve training programs using industry best practices. Supervise the day to day Loss Prevention and Security Operations of the Distribution Centers. 2 to 5-year experience in a warehouse environment with a working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, OSHA, FDA and other regulatory requirements. Powered Material Handling Equipment/Train the Trainer training. Must have good organizational/document control abilities. Knowledge of LP programs Knowledge of Contractual Security duties. Excellent oral and written communication skills combined with the ability to perform multiple tasks, schedule priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Windows based computer applications. Proactive, confident approach to the job. Self-motivated and dedicated to excelling in the role. Strong sense of teamwork.
Qualifications:
Eighteen months of education and training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area. Two years' experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures. High school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications and/or experience.

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $70,300.00 per year
