Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Manager IAP Worldwide Services, Inc - 3.7 Aurora, CO Job Details 3 hours ago Qualifications Research Supervising experience Team management TS/SCI with Polygraph Full Job Description Position is contingent upon contract award As the Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Manager , you will be responsible for leading and managing all Environmental, Safety, and Health programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. This role provides strategic and operational leadership in hazard prevention, regulatory compliance, training, emergency preparedness, workers' compensation administration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide daily guidance and direction in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at the employee, supervisor, and site senior leadership levels to ensure a consistent and effective site-wide safety approach Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe work practices and equipment; utilize SOPs in daily operations and employee training initiatives Advise, assist, and audit workplace areas to verify EHS programs are effectively implemented and maintained Coordinate regulatory inspections and ensure deficiencies are minimized, corrected, and documented in a timely manner Assist in maintaining the Emergency Response Team, site preparedness initiatives, and emergency response plans and procedures Research, prepare, and submit environmental permit applications; ensure compliance with all permit reporting requirements and collaborate with environmental agencies and regulatory groups Manage team-based risk assessments and regularly conduct training needs analyses to identify gaps and improvement opportunities Develop controls for identified workplace hazards and coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive measures resulting from hazard analyses Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control systems, safety policies, and procedures; recommend improvements to reduce workplace accidents and injuries Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and unsafe practices through routine inspections, audits, and observations Provide guidance and counseling regarding compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and standards Compile, analyze, interpret, and report accident and incident data; review injury and property damage reports and implement corrective actions Administer workers' compensation programs, including case management, reporting, and return-to-work coordination Monitor, revise, and implement updates related to safety regulations, laws, and reporting requirements to ensure ongoing compliance Lead and support safety training programs, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability in all aspects of environmental, health, and safety performance
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred Minimum of seven (7) years of Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) management experience Minimum of four (4) consecutive years of supervisory experience in the field of
ESH KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to influence and engage employees at all organizational levels Experience with behavior-based safety programs and continuous improvement methodologies Strong technical writing and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements Experience developing and implementing EHS management systems, policies, and procedures Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and analytical skills Proficiency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action development Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments across operational environments
