We are looking for a passionate and dedicated HSE Manager to support Life Sciences North America (LSNA) project portfolio. As part of our team, you will provide HSE support and leadership for a Life Sciences construction project in the Southeast Pennsylvania region, with the potential for future project assignments. You'll serve as a trusted partner, working with project and construction management, as well as the Line of Business (LOB) Regional HSE Manager and HSE Director, to drive HSE excellence. You will also contribute to and/or develop pursuit strategies that support winning work while ensuring zero worker injuries and no negative impacts to our clients' business continuity. You'll be asked to support BeyondZero performance in alignment with the LOB vision and strategic plans, while providing overall leadership, management, and direction to assigned teams and clients. We'll rely on you to take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm, driving strategy and performance, and supporting continuous improvement. You'll maintain open and effective communication with the Regional HSE Manager, project teams, peer LOB HSE team members, and Construction Management leadership to provide technical guidance, ensure alignment, and support consistent implementation of HSE processes and tools aligned with LOB HSE strategic plans and objectives. By establishing these working relationships, you'll provide visible support and leadership to all client and LOB stakeholders through interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to ensure alignment with and consistent execution of the Jacobs HSE program. You will be responsible for leading and/or supporting incident notification, investigation, and reporting processes, as well as facilitating injury management and return to work activities. You'll assist in developing project specific Jacobs HSE plans, reviewing subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables, and participating, as required, in operational readiness reviews and other forums critical to project success. Travel anticipated for this role will be associated with fulfilling the responsibilities described above and will primarily support activities in the Northeast & Mid Atlantic region of the United States. - Bachelor's degree in HSE/EHS, Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 5+ years of construction industry experience, consisting of a combination of: o HSE/EHS experience supporting active construction projects; and/or o Construction trade or craft experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity (e.g., foreman, general foreman, superintendent, or lead craft) with responsibility for safety oversight.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and enforcing safe work practices for self-perform and subcontractor crews.
Certifications:
At least one required to advance in the hiring process (level dependent): OSHA 30-Hour Construction, OSHA 510, CHST, or CSP.
- Experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, JHAs, and employee coaching in a field construction environment.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Experience supporting and implementing company and client safety program requirements at the project level.
- Proven ability to conduct safety observations, assessments, and compliance reviews across multi‑trade workforces.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and record management skills for regulatory and company compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with craft personnel, supervisors, and project leadership.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt in a fast‑paced construction environment.

Ideally, You'll Have:
- Experience supporting construction projects, including regulated or mission critical environments.
- Experience collaborating with clients, design teams, and construction management to proactively integrate safety into project execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by influence, supporting consistent safety culture across multi contractor project teams.
