Videos Duties Help The incumbent carries out the following specific responsibilities : Serves as the as the principal off icer to provide oversight and guidance of western wer infrastructure for Reclamion including the development and promulgion of broad policy, implemention guidance, and technical standards th will govern Reclamion nural resources and technical standards. Manages the modernizion and challenging efforts of years-long infrastructure projects to ensure the reliability, safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of Reclamion's infrastructure to ensure wer deliveries and power generion. Advises the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners regarding the development and execution of Reclamion objectives and policies for dam safety and its infrastructure by establishing policies and implementing procedures for Reclamion-wide programs. Establishes policies and directives th address implemention of program goals, standards, and restrictions of Reclamion's Dam Safety and Asset Management programs, and its management of assets to include: Reclamion-wide lands, realty, recreion including wildland fire management; leading Reclamion-wide Operions and Maintenance programs. Oversees continued structural integrity and operional reliability of facilities and the ongoing maintenance of an asset inventory of Reclamion's constructed assets, Capital Asset and Resource Management Applicion, cost trend da, Capital Investment Repair Needs, Stregic Asset Management Plan, and the implemention the Infrastructure Investment Stregy. Develops program plans, budgetary requests, and the preparion of submissions for congressional review and evalues the stus of these activities to brief approprie senior leadership. Represents Reclamion as the lead executive for the Department's Working Group on Dam Safety and Security to provide guidance, oversight, and training to other Department bureaus and offices with dam safety responsibilities. This includes representing the Department on Interagency Committee on Dam Safety and the Nional Dam Safety Review Board. Collabores with senior officials within the Department, Congress, and other Federal Agencies th require close coordinion, such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Energy, and Western Area Power Administrion. Demonstred ability to advise leadership and lead teams in the development and implemention of asset management or dam safety projects, and implemention of asset management or dam safety programs for the improved operion and maintenance of west-wide wer resources assets.
