Job Summary The Supervisor of Public Safety provides working, direct front-line leadership and oversight for Public operations with its Public Safety Officers and Dispatchers. The Supervisor builds, improves and works to deliver a professional, safe and secure environment for the hospital including its colleagues, clinicians, customers and visitors. This Supervisor assists the Director or Manager of Public Safety with the performance of daily operational activities ensuring a customer oriented focus and compliance with department policies and procedures. The Supervisor coaches and mentors current and new colleagues to achieve daily performance expectations, personal and annual department goals. The Supervisor may also provide other training and continuing education. This position requires specialized skills, knowledge and the subject matter expertise related to public safety, security, dispatching criminal procedure and emergency preparedness. Qualifications High school diploma/GED required , Associates degree in related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Valid CT Guard Card required
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required , Multilingual preferred
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in public safety, emergency medical services, fire required , (4) years preferred We take great care of careers.
