Construction Project Safety Manager

job summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Safety Manager to lead health and safety initiatives on-site. As the Construction Project Safety Manager, you will serve as a vital link between field operations and corporate leadership, ensuring every team member returns home safely. This role requires a proactive leader capable of fostering a culture of accountability and compliance.

Torrington, Connecticut job type: Permanent salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:

Safety Leadership:

Lead the implementation of the corporate Safety & Health Program in close coordination with the project Superintendent.

Site Inspections:

Conduct daily visual and formal written jobsite inspections, including JHA reviews and environmental control monitoring.

Personnel Training:

Manage site-specific safety orientations for all new employees and lead weekly safety talks to ensure ongoing compliance.

Emergency Planning:

Develop site-specific emergency plans and coordinate with local fire departments, medical clinics, and emergency services.

Regulatory Reporting:

Complete monthly safety reports covering fire extinguishers, GFCI inspections, trenching, and confined space permits. #randstadengineering The essential functions of this role include:working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week qualifications: Experience level: ManagerMinimum 15 years of experience

Education:
