ASAP Relocation assistance is available Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) - Manufacturing Description Our client, in chemical manufacturing, is seeking a Director of EHS to join their team in the Greater Nashville Area. This individual will lead and enhance the organization's environmental, health, and safety strategy while helping drive a strong, proactive safety culture across manufacturing operations. While this is a leadership-level role, the environment is highly operational and hands-on. You'll maintain a strong presence on the production floor, partner closely with operations and plant leadership, reinforce safe behaviors in real time, and remain actively involved in day-to-day manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate brings experience leading EHS initiatives within a plant-based manufacturing environment and has a proven ability to drive accountability, lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement practical corrective actions that improve both safety and operational performance. Success in this role will come from a collaborative, engaged leadership style and the ability to balance strategic oversight with direct involvement in the operation. Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) - Manufacturing Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs Enhance EHS policies and SOPs to reflect regulatory changes and operational needs Provide leadership related to training, environmental compliance, and overall EHS performance Promote employee engagement through safety committees and recognition initiatives Oversee onboarding and ongoing safety training initiatives for employees Provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability to leaders and employees Lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments while driving corrective actions Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventive measures Partner cross-functionally to drive safety and operational improvements Conduct behavior-based safety observations and provide coaching in the field Analyze safety metrics to identify risks and improve performance Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety and compliance Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) - Manufacturing Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Significant EHS experience within a manufacturing environment Proven experience leading safety initiatives within a plant-based operation expertise in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and incident prevention Strong experience conducting safety and regulatory compliance audits About #twiceasnice Recruiting Across industries, roles, and North America, we help clients quickly attract top talent with custom-built searches.
