Full-Time About Us P&A Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. is a growing commercial and residential roofing contractor serving clients throughout Florida. We specialize in roofing, sheet metal, waterproofing, and exterior building envelope solutions for public, private, and institutional clients. As we continue to expand our South Florida operations, we are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and strengthen our safety culture across multiple active construction projects. Position Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing company safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and customer requirements. This individual will work closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to promote a proactive safety culture and reduce workplace incidents. The ideal candidate will have experience managing safety programs within the roofing, construction, or specialty contracting industry and be comfortable spending significant time in the field. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety programs and policies. Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits throughout South Florida. Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage events. Prepare detailed incident reports and corrective action plans. Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training programs. Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings. Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements. Assist project teams with site-specific safety plans and risk assessments. Maintain OSHA logs and required safety documentation. Coordinate and manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs. Support customer safety audits and contractor prequalification requirements. Track and report key safety metrics and trends to company leadership. Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related issues across the South Florida region. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience. Minimum 3 years in a safety leadership role. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Valid driver's license with ability to travel to jobsites throughout South Florida. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and influence field personnel at all levels. Preferred Commercial roofing or specialty contracting experience.
OSHA 500
Trainer Certification. OSHA 30 Construction Certification. CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification. CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification. First Aid/CPR Certification. Experience working on municipal, educational, healthcare, and government projects.
