Safety Supervisor Waste Pro, USA United States, Florida, Daytona Beach 925 South Clyde Morris Boulevard (Show on map) Jun 10, 2026 The Safety Supervisor is responsible for providing divisional, and workplace safety leadership focused on compliance with all Federal, State, DOT, EPA, NIOSH, and OSHA regulations to the Daytona Beach location. This position will strive to promote and deliver safety vigilance that meets Waste Pro's uncompromising commitment to providing and proactively ensuring hazards free workplaces. The Safety Supervisor will provide safety guidance, company/regulatory compliance, procedural training, safe practices enforcement, and required safety/risk management leadership specific to the Waste Industry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Employee site orientation
Assists in the gathering of Subrogation documents
Assists with Co-heart candidate preparation
Participate in Fleet Inspections making sure trucks are clean and keys are secure
Ensure that the divisions pre and post route Safety Lane meets company standards
Assist with accident and injury investigations. Making sure reports are complete and accurate
Leads weekly Safety meetings with Route Supervisors to improve safety processes
Ensure that DQ files are being completed with updated documentation
Facilitates a culture of safety with the entire team
Completes ride along and driver training for those that are in the riskiest driver category and have taken the complete the routine class
Completes safety training at can yards
Ensures items identified during Facility Inspections are addresses
Ensure all coaching is completed in accordance with company policies
Coordinates with route supervisors to ensure OBA's are completed, Monthly OSHA training is completed, Documenting Quarterly truck fire training is completed
Coordinates safety report for Ops Mgr and DM for weekly meeting

OM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS Degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Services, Occupational Safety/Engineering or other related field (equivalent combination of education and experience) is preferred.
Requires 2+ years of progressive hands-on Occupational Health and Safety, fleet safety, and compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
1-2 years of domain experience within the Waste Management/ Environmental Services industry preferred.
Holds min of OSHA10 and has demonstrated expertise with state/federal regulations and associated standards (i.e.
OSHA, DOT, NIOSH, NFPA, ANSI
).
Requires 1-2 years' experience in keeping detailed and accurate records in a safety environment.
Works with the region safety manager recognizing, evaluating, and recommending controls for operational hazards as well as work related injury and illness.
Solid project management, oral and written communication skills.
High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organization.
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and foster a compliant safety-first culture.
Excellent personal computer skills in a network environment; Microsoft Office, Outlook.
Strong planning/organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

- Able to climb in and out of equipment. A Valid Driver's License
- Can read and interpret variety of simple to complex reports (e.g. Vehicle Condition Reports) for clarification of problems and implementation of preventive mitigation techniques.
- Lift, carry and push/pull at least 40lbs without difficulty.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Normal setting for this job is carried out in office, field and maintenance facilities.
