Job Summary and Qualifications Job Summary:

The Director of Patient Safety is responsible for advancing a patient safety program that promotes a culture of safety and the elimination of avoidable harm.

Essential Functions Include:

Systems Thinking and Reliable Design Identification and Mitigation of Patient Safety Risk Safety Culture Advancement Patient Safety Education Partnership with Executive and Clinical Leaders Patient and Family Engagement What qualifications you will need: Bachelors Degree required from an accredited institution Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held in another state, active FL RN compact license required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable (CPPS) Certified Professional in Patient Safety. If not already CPPS, will obtain certification TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer. If not already a Master Trainer, obtain with 12 months of hire HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care. This includes advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. We offer certified women's services. Our hospital has dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services. We are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. Our hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center. We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation.
