Cypress Gulf is looking for a highly effective Safety Manager with (preferably) 5 years of construction experience implementing safety procedures and protocols related to construction. We are looking for a motivated individual with an educational or experience based background in construction safety and familiar with current laws and safety regulations. Our Safety Manager position requires the following knowledge/abilities/certifications:

OSHA 30 & 510

required

OSHA 500

preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction High School GED or Equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication Organizational skills Pass a pre-employment drug screen Possess a valid Florida driver's license Ability to speak Spanish is a plus Responsibilities to include: Implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards Managing safety documentation needed for the company policies and field operations, in line with OSHA requirements First contact and company champion for reporting and follow-through of company policies for any emergency or safety incidents Conducting site visits to determine risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illness or long-term health hazards Educating staff and company personnel of safety expectations and best practices Maintaining inventory and distributing PPE per company policy Submit daily, monthly, quarterly and annual safety reports Record and update OSHA forms 300 & 300A for yearly submission New employee onboarding orientation and safety practices Maintaining tool inventory records for field Pay to be determined based upon experience.
