Atlanta, GA TYPE Direct Hire SALARY $110,000 - $125,000 / yr ID j-13523 Major manufacturing company seeks an EHS Manager for their Atlanta area facility. This is a corporate, single-contributor EHS Manager position covering four manufacturing facilities across Atlanta, New Jersey, California, and Illinois. There are no safety staff at the individual plant level, so this person owns the function entirely and operates with a high degree of autonomy. Environmental responsibilities are a smaller piece of the job — this is primarily a safety-focused role with real operational impact across multiple sites. Fluency in Spanish is preferred. Travel requirements will be 25-35%. Must have a track record of building or improving safety programs, not just maintaining them — experience setting up programs from scratch is a strong differentiator Proven ability to drive down workers' comp claims and reduce premiums Floor presence is non-negotiable — this person needs to be comfortable spending significant time in cold, active production environments Stable work history is a hard requirement — job hopping is a significant concern and will disqualify candidates BS/BA degree in science or safety is strongly preferred Spanish speaking ability is a major plus 3+ years of safety experience in food, chemicals, consumer products, manufacturing environments Multi-plant experience is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office suite The company wants a high-energy type EHS professional who is motivated by building something, comfortable working without a team underneath them, and willing to be on the floor rather than behind a desk.
