Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Safety and Health Officer to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance across construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in risk management, occupational health, OSHA regulations, and construction management. This role is essential in maintaining a safe working environment, minimizing hazards, and promoting a culture of safety on all project sites. The Site Safety and Health Officer will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and workers to implement safety policies aligned with industry standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans in accordance with OSHA, NEC, and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with
OSHA, EHS
standards, and construction management policies. Lead safety training sessions for all personnel, emphasizing occupational health, risk management, and compliance management practices. Investigate incidents or accidents on-site; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training logs, and compliance documentation using construction management software. Coordinate with project teams to ensure all workers are equipped with appropriate PPE and adhere to safety protocols throughout the construction process. Stay updated on changes in OSHA regulations, NEC standards, workers' compensation policies, and other relevant legal requirements affecting construction safety. Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a focus on site safety or occupational health. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, and workers' compensation laws. Experience managing risk assessments and implementing compliance management strategies on construction sites. Familiarity with construction management software tools for documentation and reporting purposes. Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and investigations independently. Certification in OSHA 30-hour or higher preferred; additional certifications in risk management or occupational health are a plus. STS or CHST certifications preferred/ Construction site experience is required; prior roles as a Safety Officer or similar position are highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to lead safety initiatives that protect personnel while ensuring project success through adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
