Safety Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(include but are not limited to the following) Safety Program Development & Compliance Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to industrial plant operations. Ensure all operations meet or exceed OSHA and applicable state/federal safety regulations; maintain all required safety records and documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies; manage audits and address compliance issues promptly. MaintainOSHA 300
logs, SDS files, and all Health & Safety records. Lead and participate in internal and social compliance audits. Risk Assessment & Incident Management Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies. Lead thorough investigations of all incidents, near-misses, and injuries- identifying root causes and driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and proactive approach. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with sound, independent judgment. Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with safety management software is a plus. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with discretion.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing safety role required; 3+ years strongly preferred. Proven track record managing safety programs in a regulated, fast-paced environment. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health and safety compliance requirements.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING ENVIRONMENT
