Job Description

About the Role As an Occupational Health and Safety Lead, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive safety initiatives to foster a culture of prevention and compliance. By leveraging your expertise in OSHA regulations and hazard mitigation, you will drive impactful improvements in workplace safety standards and operational risk management. Responsibilities Design and deploy robust safety programs to proactively minimize health and safety risks across the facility. Perform regular safety audits and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement effective corrective measures. Facilitate engaging safety training sessions to ensure all staff are well-versed in OSHA requirements and internal safety protocols. Mentor supervisors on identifying safety exposures and coaching team members on safe work practices. Lead thorough investigations into workplace incidents, analyzing root causes to develop strategic prevention plans. Manage worker compensation documentation and maintain accurate records of safety compliance activities. Prepare and present detailed safety performance reports to leadership to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Extensive knowledge of OSHA guidelines and federal workplace safety regulations. Proven ability to analyze safety data and develop practical, creative solutions to mitigate risk. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence safety culture across various departments. Proficiency in MS Office and database management for reporting and documentation. Preferred Skills Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation. Experience managing complex worker compensation claims. Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration to improve safety outcomes.
