Salary:
Starting at $52,416 (eligible for overtime pay, on-call stipends, other financial incentives)
About the Position:
Provide services to children and families with Impending Danger Plans in collaboration with an assigned Intact Family Services Team.
A Typical Day as a Safety Manager:
Develop and deliver family centered services in collaboration with the assigned Intact Family Services team to assigned children and families to meet mutually established goals which promote safety and stability in the best interest of the family in a timely manner.
Provide service delivery to comply with agency, state, and federal regulations and requirements in accordance with established timelines and following the FITS model.
Document all services delivered to comply with agency, state, and federal regulations and requirements in accordance with established timelines.
Attend staffing sessions, providing input into the decision-making process regarding service delivery and goal setting with families.
Support and monitor families in their home environment to monitor progress toward mitigating safety concerns, progress toward goals, and services delivered to ensure the objectives identified by the Intact Family Services team and family remain in the best interest of the child.
Attend court hearings, staffings, and other activities necessary to coordinate services while representing the agency in a professional and collaborative manner.
Travel to deliver services in the home environment, and/or transport children and families to alternative service locations.
Assist with Foster Parent recruitment activities.
Develop a schedule which can be adapted to reflect the needs of children and families, while following agency expectations related to time management and attendance.
Provide after-hours response as scheduled and in urgent circumstances.
Location:
292 N. Chambers St. Galesburg, IL including travel and spending time in the field visiting clients' homes, communities, and attending court. This office provides services to the following counties: Knox, Warren, and Henderson.
Work Hours:
Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based on the availability of youth and families served. Hybrid work is available based on job duties.
Does the Following Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Service, or related field
Child Welfare Experience (preferred)
Additional Qualifications:
Completion of DCFS criminal background check and fingerprinting
Must be at least 21 years of age
Obtain an insured vehicle
At least three years of driving experience with a valid driver's license
Successful completion of DCFS Foundations Training to obtain Child Welfare Licensure
