Job Description:
I'm partnered with a Rockford, IL manufacturing company seeking an EHS Manager. This person will support multiple facilities while helping drive a proactive, hands-on safety culture throughout the organization. This role is highly visible within operations and will partner closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to identify risks, improve training, and strengthen overall safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety training programs and documentation
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify safety hot spots across facilities
  • Analyze trends related to accidents, near misses, lost time injuries, and recordables to drive corrective actions
  • Improve visibility and communication of safety metrics throughout operations
  • Coach leaders and employees on safe work practices and accountability
  • Spend significant time on the shop floor working directly with operations teams
Qualifications:
  • Experience leading EHS initiatives within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in safety training, coaching, and program development
  • Ability to influence leaders and drive accountability at all levels
  • Comfortable working hands-on within plant operations
  • Experience using data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships within operations and creating meaningful improvements in safety culture and performance.
