Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee safety programs across large-scale construction projects. This role is responsible for driving compliance, mitigating risk, and promoting a strong safety culture across field operations. The Safety Manager serves as a key leader, partnering with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are executed safely and in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

This position requires a hands-on safety professional who is comfortable operating in dynamic, high-accountability environments and is willing to travel or relocate as project needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development, implementation, and management of site-specific safety programsServe as the primary safety authority for assigned projectsEnsure full compliance with company policies, client requirements, and OSHA regulationsConduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessmentsReview job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, and critical activity plansSupport project start-up meetings by establishing safety expectations and requirementsLead incident response efforts, including investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsTrack, analyze, and report safety metrics, trends, and leading indicatorsCoordinate and facilitate safety training, orientations, and toolbox talksMentor, coach, and develop Site Safety Specialists and field leadershipPartner with project managers and superintendents to proactively address safety risksInterface professionally with subcontractors and client safety representativesMaintain all safety documentation, reports, and regulatory recordsSupport audits and inspections from regulatory agencies or clientsPerform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
5 or more years of experience in construction safety managementProven experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, or mechanical construction projectsStrong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and safety best practicesExperience leading incident investigations and corrective action plansDemonstrated ability to influence field teams and promote a proactive safety cultureStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with strong documentation and reporting capabilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and OutlookComfortable working in both office and active construction site environmentsWillingness to travel or relocate based on project needsBenefitsHealth/Vision/Dental Insurance401K plan with company matchPTO/Sick Leave/Holidays
