Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Generalist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will champion workplace safety initiatives, ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations, and foster a culture of safety excellence across manufacturing operations. Your expertise will help safeguard employee well-being, protect the environment, and uphold regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement in our safety programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on workplace safety and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards in manufacturing environments. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety or environmental issues. Manage universal waste--puncture spray cans, box fluorescent bulbs, battery disposal. Facilitate employee training and development programs on safety regulations such as OSHA standards, hazardous materials handling, first aid procedures, CPR certification, and workers' compensation law compliance. Ensure proper management of hazardous materials in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and environmental health standards. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, incident reports, compliance documentation, and training logs for regulatory review. Organize incoming containment area (identifying contents, drums sealed and proper labeling) Organize recyclable wood products (pallets and bushing containers) Qualifications Fluency in English and Spanish is outstanding but not required. Experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance standards. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; additional certifications related to occupational health or hazardous materials handling are a plus. Knowledge of workers' compensation law and regulatory/legal compliance standards applicable to production settings. Ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing effectively for incident investigations. Familiarity with EPA regulations concerning hazardous materials management and environmental health practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to train employees on safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
