Monday - Saturday (10 days on / 4 days off rotation)

Day Shift Project Scope This role supports a general contractor performing retrofit work within an active and operational Amazon distribution center. The Safety Manager will oversee site safety activities while construction is ongoing alongside live operations, requiring strong coordination and hazard awareness. The position focuses on maintaining compliance with OSHA standards, enforcing site-specific safety plans, and ensuring subcontractor adherence to safety protocols. The environment is fast-paced and demands a proactive, visible safety presence. The Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site. Qualifications 4-year degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field OR BCSP certification
OR OSHA 500
certification with 6+ years of relevant experience Additional Requirements Ability to work extended hours and weekends Experience working in active or operational facilities Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations Ability to enforce safety standards across multiple trades Key Responsibilities Enforce site-specific safety plans and OSHA compliance Conduct daily safety inspections and audits Lead toolbox talks and safety orientations Monitor subcontractor safety performance Investigate incidents and near-misses Coordinate corrective actions with project leadership Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports Skills Construction safety management, OSHA compliance, hazard recognition, incident investigation, subcontractor oversight, communication, documentation Knowledge Base Extensive knowledge of construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, and jobsite risk management within active facilities. Strong understanding of retrofit construction, contractor coordination, and safety enforcement in high-traffic operational environments.
