Job Description

QESH Manager We Are NewCold, a global leader in cold chain logistics with a focus on the development and operation of large, highly automated cold storage. Learn more about us at www.newcold.com. Position Overview NewCold is seeking a QESH Manager to effectively manage the Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health functions on site and provide a level of service in line with customer requirements and legislation, at a level of cost agreed in the budget. The QESH Manager will create and develop a professional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the NewCold team. Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for promoting a safety culture and awareness across the site while managing and implementing QESH policies and procedures. Responsible for the development of training materials to support QESH policies and procedures. Promote employee awareness of QESH through training and continuous site-wide communication. Develop, implement and maintain QESH performance measurement programs including tracking and reporting progress. Manage the accident and injury investigation program and conduct accident and injury investigations to identify root causes and eliminate potential hazards and reoccurrences. Participate in the initiation phase of equipment installation and set-up to assist in design for safety, health, and environmental principles and set up of emergency response plans and crisis manual. Ensure NewCold employees and new hires are trained and certified in compliance with rules, legislation, company and customer requirements. Ensure and maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies required or voluntary including but not limited to OSHA, WISHA, EPA, FSMA, C-TPAT, BRC, IFS, etc. Acts as a liaison officer for the external authorities and insurance inspectors regarding safety, security, claims, accidents, investigation and other issues. Conduct and documents regular Safety, Environmental and EPA Audits of the facility to ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures and OSHA regulations. Maintain and develop relationships with all external and internal stakeholders related to QESH. Document safety data for required company and regulatory reporting and develop and implement behaviour based QESH programs on site. Advise and assist site management, production leaders and employees about managing risks regarding Safety and Health. Conduct risk analyses for the site and implement mitigation plans and document monthly reporting of results according to NewCold standards. Complete trend analyses on safety results, plan for improvement and prepare and coordinate the annual management review. Supply and maintain required PPE for employees. Complete local KPI templates and share information internally, engaging the local team to search for improvement opportunities. Maintain communication with NewCold's customer QA department. Ensure the site's certifications and accreditations are fulfilled and up to date. Experience 3+ Years of experience in a light industrial and/or warehousing environment. 6+ years of experience in Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, BRC, VPP, and First Aid.
