Job Description

Essential Duties Maintain and update the Safety Management System, including safety records, reports, logs, and required regulatory documentation. Monitor, implement, and improve safety programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with OSHA regulations and company standards. Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and assigned safety-related projects. Support Occupational Health services as needed, including first aid response when appropriate. Observe employee work practices and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify hazardous conditions or behaviors and collaborate with teams to develop and implement corrective actions. Assist in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Safe Work Procedures. Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented. Follow up on corrective actions to verify effectiveness and completion. Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with all site-specific safety requirements. Support emergency response planning and participate in or lead drills and safety committee activities. Maintain a regular presence on the production floor to reinforce safety practices and engagement. Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, including onboarding, toolbox talks, and ongoing education. Promote safety awareness and foster a proactive safety culture across all departments. Adjust priorities as needed to respond to changing operational demands. Build positive working relationships and resolve safety concerns at the appropriate level. Perform administrative duties related to safety programs and compliance. Serve as a subject matter expert on occupational health and safety matters. Perform other related duties as assigned.
