Health and Safety Clerk Location Muncie, IN Salary:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment , including leadership or supervisory responsibilities Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and HSE management systems Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation Proven leadership ability with experience coaching and developing team members Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting/management systems Ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies, emergency responders, and cross-functional teams Why This Job? Key Responsibilities Supervise and provide direction to HSE staff, including coaching, development, and performance oversight Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of HSE management systems aligned with OSHA, environmental regulations, and corporate standards Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate health, safety, and environmental regulations Develop and oversee programs focused on hazard prevention, risk reduction, and environmental protection Review and approve job safety analyses (JSA), ergonomic assessments, and risk evaluations Conduct and oversee workplace inspections, audits, and monitoring activities , ensuring timely corrective actions Lead investigations for incidents, near-misses, and environmental events , including root cause analysis and corrective action planning Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting , including OSHA logs and environmental submissions Support and lead Joint Health & Safety Committee initiatives Jobs You Can Count On "They are so reliable at helping you find jobs." - Matthew, Staffmark Associate Join a Team That Works for You At Staffmark, we're more than just a staffing company—we're your career partner.
