Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Field Safety Manager to lead our safety initiatives across construction sites and operational areas. In this vital role, you will champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards while fostering a secure environment for workers and stakeholders alike. Your expertise will drive risk management strategies, oversee occupational health protocols, and implement comprehensive safety programs that align with industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety performance on large-scale projects and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to construction sites, ensuring adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate incidents. Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventative measures to enhance safety protocols. Oversee compliance management efforts related to NEC (National Electrical Code), workers' compensation policies, and other relevant safety regulations. Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate safety into project planning, scheduling, and execution phases. Provide training sessions on occupational health, risk management, OSHA regulations, and construction site safety best practices for all personnel. Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, document inspections, incidents, and corrective actions efficiently. Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing communication, safety meetings, and motivational initiatives that encourage proactive risk mitigation.

Full Time Reports to: Vice President, Safety Position Summary The Field Safety Manager coordinates safety programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures. Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs. Review current safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates. Submit recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program, including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management. Implement changes to operations and/or activities that could harm staff or equipment. Assist with incident investigations and report any safety situations. Perform risk assessment audits and assist with driver hiring process. Administer safety training at regular intervals. Conduct on-site accident investigations. Investigate all preventable and non-preventable accidents/incidents. Provide remedial training/correction action as a result of investigation discoveries. Perform additional duties as required. Conduct safety inspections on equipment as needed.
Job Requirements Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Experience using Microsoft Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point 3 or more years professional safety experience in the transportation industry preferred Ability to work effectively with varying levels of the organization Ability to be flexible and adapt to change Strong customer service orientation, ensuring needs and deadlines are met in a timely fashion Proven focus on continuous improvement in the workplace Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced organization Proven problem solver; anticipates challenges and is both responsive and resourceful Strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to act as a team player and get involved in all aspects of the business function Preferred qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety Flatbed and Oversize equipment experience CDL A or prior experience
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
