Field Manager Hutchinson, KS Salary:
Based on experience The
HSE & DOT
Field Manager is responsible for overseeing all field-level Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance activities. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, USDOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, CVSA, and applicable state and local regulations while supporting safe and efficient field operations in an oilfield environment. The position provides hands-on field leadership, conducts inspections and investigations, manages training programs, and ensures regulatory compliance across personnel, vehicles, and operations. Essential Functions HSE Compliance
  • Oversee OSHA compliance and company safety programs
  • Conduct field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Maintain safety records and ensure corrective actions are completed DOT / Fleet Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA, USDOT, PHMSA, and CVSA regulations
  • Manage driver qualification files, HOS, CSA scores, and compliance systems
  • Oversee vehicle inspections, maintenance tracking, and permits
  • Support drug and alcohol testing compliance programs Training & Reporting
  • Coordinate and deliver safety and DOT training programs
  • Conduct toolbox talks and defensive driving training
  • Provide compliance and performance reports to leadership
  • Track safety trends and improvements Operational Support
  • Work with field operations, HR, and leadership teams on compliance issues
  • Interface with regulatory agencies, auditors, and third-party systems
  • Support incident response and emergency readiness planning Qualifications
  • 5+ years of
HSE, DOT
compliance, or oilfield safety experience
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA regulations
  • Experience in field or oilfield operations preferred
  • Experience with incident investigation and compliance reporting
  • Valid driver's license required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong field leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance systems
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Proficient in reporting and tracking systems Work Environment
  • Office-based role with travel to job sites
  • Oilfield and industrial environments with varying weather conditions
  • Required use of PPE in all field locations Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must comply with all company policies and safety procedures
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing
  • Must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations Additional Information
